Nope. No Testa Rossa on this pic. The car "top right" in the dust could be a Ferrari 375 Plus or similar.

au 1er plan: Ferrari 375+ Arciero n°69 (chassis n° 0478AM),V12 4900cc construite en 1958 (voir Marsh models 127)
en course ici en 1959??, à côté Ferrari 410 , derrière Ol'Yaller (moteur Buick)

The car on far right seems to be 335 Sport of John von Neumann. Serial number 0700 looks a lot like a 250 Testa Rossa as it was modified to enhance cooling when taken to Caracas 1000km race in 1957.

Since at this point in time it's lost its initial configuration this could be called Sutton/Arciero imo not Pinin Farina. Still a Ferrari but Jack Sutton, the new body constructor, should be included as well as Frank Arciero, the owner, whose name is perhaps more associated with this car. I agree the "Arciero Special" entry should be merged here.

ben68 wrote Based on what I found on a forum, it's an Arciero Special Ferrari V12 4.9 litre (or V8 Maserati 4.2 litre?), racecar built by Frank Arciero on the chassis of the 1955 Ferrari 375 MM s/n 0362 destroyed in Sebring on 15 March 1955. Driver is Dan GURNEY. Year would be 1957 or 1958.

Good find Ben68.! (thanks for all your help ;) )

Ray B. wrote From Ron Cummings: "Car #69 is Gurney in Arciero's 375 Ferrari Special with the fiberglass body. The car still had a Ferrari motor that day and finished second. The car had the highest top speed of any car down the mile long straight for the race, something like 165+ miles per hour." (1D)

antp wrote If it has a chassis and engine from Ferrari, isn't it more logical to list it as Ferrari rather than this make which is not really one?
