I found that the car still exists! It was shown in Hershey, October 1999, painted red. Oregon license plate: HNY 449. Found it in a French magazine ("Auto Retro" #229, février 2000) as an example of the rare cars in Hershey. Alas, the editor couldn't tell the make, just that it had been inspired by the 1953 Cadillac LeMans... |

I guess it's a homemade one of a kind car, as they were many in the 50's. It seems to have a Corvette windshield hood and front fenders (compare with the one just ahead). The upper grille bar looks like 52 Chevy. On another frame one can spot Cadillac rear fenders. |

I' ve found her at last. N° 27 is the 1955 Cobra, built by the Hansen brothers. http://www.trombinoscar.com/concept/cobra5501.html "c'est un des deux exemplaires originaux construits totalement à la main par les frères Harry et Wally Hansen pour le "Motorama Vustom Petersen" de 1955 Les deux véhicules montés sur un châssis original à carrosserie en fibre de verre étaient identiques sauf la motorisation: velui-ci a reçu un moteur Oldsmobile et l'autre un moteur Cadillac.. Pour réduire les coûts, de nombreuses pièces standards Chevrolet, Studebaker rt Cadillac ont été utilisées" It doesn't mention that one of them had raced at Riverside, but there it is anyway.
