They were sold as 'Keohwa' when they were introduced in 1981 model year. Somebody found an old Keohwa jeep at http://www.bobaedream.co.kr/view?code=national&No=174045 (See third picture there). |

@Mods: The photo shows that the Latin alphabet spelling used by the company was "Keohwa". "Geohwa" is the spelling under Revised Romanization, which was adopted by the South Korean government in 2000. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revised_Romanization_of_Korean |

That's because the original Hangeul was spelled like this: 거화 As you can see the picture shows in Hanja as: 巨和 Link to "ko.wikipedia.org" |
