I would venture a guess the door script reads LS. Only other option, I don't think this is a Special Edition of some sort, would be GLS but the script seems 2 letters vs 3. Not a Merit, GSi or SRi. |

Agree. L prefix plate = 93-94, before they started splurging special editions. Higher trims (GLS, Flair etc) tended to get body colour mirrors, part tints at least (eg green windscreen bands). Not sure if wheel covers are original (listed as "flush") or accessory shop. |

dsl per the the brochures GLS seemed to always have black mirrors. The CDX (1995+ only offered on 5 doors) have body colored mirrors. Unless I am missing some details? Here is all the brochures one could ever want on 1st gen Corsa (among other models). You might need to refresh the page as there are a lot of brochures.. |

I'm drowning in that lot .... Probably should have been more precise, as I didn't mean to say GLS had body colour mirrors, just that most trims above LS had extra bits in some permutation, with GLS getting the part green tints. Glass's lists the following specials for 94+ Corsas, based on basic levels, in chronological order: - Breeze - Arizona - Twist - Spin - Montana - Trip - Premier - Vegas - Trip (again) - Breeze Life's too short to attempt to unpick them Edit: this list is for 1.2i Corsas, entered under pages for Merit versions -- Last edit: 2024-04-09 16:21:55 |

Just to complete the edition names, there were also these for 1.0i Corsas, an engine we only seem to have got from April 97: - Sting - Trip (see 1.2 list) - Breeze (see 1.2 list) - Expression Normal trim levels on 1.0 were Merit, Club, Envoy, LS and GLS |
