Because of the grille I would say it's a Benz (not a Mercedes ). |

It looks later than 1905. I know Benz did many different models from very small to very big. I would guess this car at more like 1910-12 - particularly as it has front doors. |

Have the feeling this is not an original car. Lot of details don't fit with a car of that period. Could it be a car "made for the movie"? |

It only appears briefly in the movie and therefore it's unlikely I think that it was 'made-for-movie' totally, unless it was originally made for a different movie. However it was possibly modified to appear to be a WWI German car from whatever car was available to the studio in the UK.
