Not a 1991 model. At least 1993 by 5 spokes. |

BTW, this Legend Coupe was always a special car. Many firsts, especially for Japanese automobiles. Honda can only hope to make something equivalent to this car its lineup one day. Other than the lack of a V8 and RWD basis, this car was perfect. What the hell happened? Honda felt they there were losing money by early 1991 (KA8 development ended by Q3 1990), so they lost their passion a bit until about 1995 and mostly developed uninspired upmarket products for the mid-90s. By 1995 it was too late to reverse the decision to introduce the mediocre Accord-based 3.0 CL and not a superior KA8 replacement. To this today, nothing can top Acura Legend nameplate, being the best selling luxury import nameplate in the US all of its second generation run. The Acura 3.5RL was a random disappointment, highly mediocre evolution of KA7, that warranted a quick facelift in 1998 and then little-to-no investment for another 6 years. -- Last edit: 2018-07-09 18:43:26 |
