Seems UK did get Estafette according to Glass's: - June 1960 [R2130] 12cwt (=0.6 ton) 845cc arrived as van, high-roof van, pickup, and 8-seater minibus. Discontinued May 62. - June 1962 [R2132] 15cwt (=0.75 ton) 1108cc arrived as van, high-roof van and pickup, plus a UK-converted 12-seater minibus. Continued with minimal change until pickup dropped in 1967 and others in Oct 68 - Oct 1965 [R2134] 1-ton 1108cc arrived as high-roof van only, added pickup in 1967, both dropped in Oct 68. No mention of Alouette name here. I still don't remember seeing any here - except perhaps as a UK camper conversion (very dim memory, possibly not reliable). This footage looks archive and older than film - maybe mid-60s??. This looks like a minibus - see far side where bus bodywork can be seen - unless it's a baggage truck with a big far-side sliding door. |

Never saw one myself in Blighty but have seen a few old UK magazine road tests. A restoration article in a classic truck magazine said they were terrible for rust in the wet UK , even being known to snap in half ! |
