740? |

I don't find it likely to be a 740. Although there were some 740 that had painted lower half of the bumpers, they were introduced in 1988 as of continuous interest in the 740 range since the 760 had got a diffeent nose and interior in that year. But no 740 (as far as I know) had painted door mirrors. And filming date would argue it's not a MY 1988. I rather believe this is a 760, and apparently streched. By Nilsson? |

@kegare I'm sorry I cannot tell which coachbuilder it is. The ones I've found are: - Nilsson (Yngve Nilsson in Laholm, southern Sweden) Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" . Although this one is shorter than the one in the film, Nilsson, at least on later models, used that big piece of metal on the b-pillar so I don't find it unlikely they did a longer version https://www.garaget.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=17607&p=734 . Nilsson also had some built in Thailand and Malaysia http://www.nilsson.se/om-nilsson-bil/historia/ . - Bertone Link to "s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com" (early) http://car-from-uk.com/ebay/carphotos/full/ebay307347.jpg (later) had vinyl roof as of the 262 Coupé and a b-pillar in bruched stainless steel. I haven't found one without vinyl roof. - The Swedish car builder Leif Mellberg made a few http://www.mellbergscustom.com/volvo-limousine/ . -- Last edit: 2017-05-18 23:20:45 |
