Indeed. Nice colour though. |

Yes, very rare and not officially imported. The one I often met in the early 70s was a "Maxi blue" (a sort of indigo blue>) '73 with the specific plate used by US army staff in Italy at the the time (Now for obvious reasons they have got normal Italian plates but often their cars are not imported to Europe). |

The more I look at the picture, more I think this is not Turin, but Spain... (But I could be wrong!) |

... which would mean the 127 is a Seat?? |

My hypothesis is that they've used two 127 for the scenes filmed in Italy and in Spain, this may also explain the horribly faked number plate. (I haven't watched this movie, but it's something that probably will do soon) |

He is correct. The plates he refers to were white, and had the letters "AFI" ("American Forces in Italy") at the top,US size plate. Had a letter prefix to indicate the base/post/community the car was from, like "N-12345" would be from Naples,"V-12345" from Vicenza,"U-12345" from Aviano (Udine)and such? I think I still have all those written down somewhere,I'll try to find it and post later? -- Last edit: 2017-04-21 02:26:41 |

We have/had bases in both Italy and Spain. Probably belongs to a G.I.? |
