Wild guess: early seventies Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight? |

I'm pretty sure this is the same '74 Cadillac used in other scenes. |

This is the car used by the detective tracking The Punisher. It is seen in various scenes throughout the film but never any shots better than this one. Possibly was used in background of other scenes but none that I could say for certain. Here it is again in a night scene /vehicle_102243-Toyota-Land-Cruiser.html -- Last edit: 2007-04-26 23:40:55 |

It looks like a 1974 Pontiac Grand Ville. |

Definitely not a Cadillac rear-view mirror, so surely not a Cadillac. |

I agree with philr. This car has the C-body roofline and the side mirror of of a B-body. It has to be a 1971-1974 Pontiac Grandville. |

This kind of rear view mirror wasn't available on Buick and Oldsmobile full size cars either. The shape of the rear door is definitely Pontiac. You are right that it could be older than 1974, the shoulder belt made me think it's a 1974 but I'm not sure. As for the roofline, I am can't see if it has the large backglass of the B body or the Grand Ville backglass. The emblem on the roof is either from a Bonneville or a Grand Ville. Is there another picture showing more? |

Unfortunately for the time the car appears this is the best shot available |

Definitely a Grand Ville. A '73-'75 as the '71 and '72 did not use that emblem. |
