@Adrian-Hamburg: Welcome to imcdb! bob_dieck is right, and I will try to explain why in an easy way. All the W110 had round head lights, while the W111 had oval shaped ones. As this one has round head lights it's a W110. W110 http://www.heckflosse.nl/190.htm W111 http://www.heckflosse.nl/220sse.htm . There was also another version looking roughly the same as the W111, but had much more chrome. It was called W112 http://www.heckflosse.nl/300.htm . When Mercedes (that is Daimler-Benz) sold DKW to Volkswagen in 1964 it was agreed upon that DKW would only sell cars with engines less that 2000 cc while Mercedes only would sell cars with engines bigger than 2000 cc. Hence W110 made from 1966 on is called 200 instead of 190. When the 200 was introduced Mercedes stopped having the indicator on top on the front wing, but put it beneath the head lamps. Other recognition features including air outlets in the c-pillar and a chrome strip on the rear stem, beneath the boot lid http://www.heckflosse.nl/200230.htm . That is no doubt the above car is a 1962+ 190 [W 110], Diesel most likely as being a Taxi. -- Last edit: 2017-03-11 09:54:31 |
