1970 Challenger R/T.

I don't know if the car is a real R/T, but if not it's a really good clone. It has the full R/T-style interior, with buckets, Rallye-pack gauges, and center console. The R/T-exclusive exterior pieces, such as the dual-scooped hood and optional Go-Wing, are also present.

Car is equipped with a Torqueflite automatic transmission, but I could never read the hood callouts in the show, so I can't tell what engine is (allegedly) under the hood.

The stripes are 1970 R/T style stripes, but possibly custom done...1970 R/T stripes were available in blue (as well as red, green, and more common black or white), but I'm not sure if this is the right shade and also blue, red, or green stripes are VERY rare on 1970 R/Ts.

In any case, this is the single most awesome Pro-Touring musclecar ever built.

In the show, the driver's sister does mistakenly say it's a '72 model, but when you see a picture of him and the car right after she says that, it's unmistakenly a 1970 model. With vehicles being such an important part of the show, you'd think there would be SOMEONE around on the set that has a clue, or you'd think they'd consider a consultant to make sure the characters aren't making such blatant factual mistakes. It may not mean much to most, but for the informed it's annoying as hell.

What probably happened is that the script specified a '72 but they had to make do with a '70 instead, and no-one remembered to change the dialogue.

@incog It's like all these remakes get it WRONG! Carradine Cannonball, Gumball, hell even Cannonball Run w Reynolds was more factual. Gone in Sixty Remake list: 69/70 Daytona... The Hell? LOVED the DMCL sublime charger intro at the start of the show. If the E body in question was a 318 car w serious motor transplant, 2.94 differential remained... That car would have outran the field, Period. 3.73... no way. Maybe the if the cgi was factual in execution, that would be a clue that this is NOT A REAL HEMI CAR. FOX lost a jewel in a sea of rice.

The car has a 5.7L Hemi crate motor, coil over front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering. It was one of 4 cars originally built for the movie "The Bucket List". It also appeared in the NBC TV show "Chuck", the movie "The Runaways" and a Jessie McCartney music video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bsXRqI1WbI
