Confirm the year as 1988 for this truck saw both of this truck & the on from Big Trouble in Little China when I was in Bangor 2 weeks ago the other was an 86' and this Truck was a 1988 Frightliner FLC-120

It's a 1986 4x4 23, I have past photo of this truck sitting at Freightliner of Maine, I'll upload it when I have access too

Here's a photo of it sitting at the Freightliner of Maine Dealer, when it came to Maine, it's still running around up here today, it's a 1986 as I said

Looks like there were atleast 2 trucks used in the filming of the movie. A give away is the arrangement of the tanks and steps on the passenger side of the truck. Looks like the hero truck had the steps at the rear of the tanks and the stunt truck had the steps at the front. In a still from the movie you can see Tom wopat running past the steps at the front of the tanks with the bottom step missing and mounts bent. This is the truck that has been seen in Maine.
