dsl ◊ 2017-02-08 23:26	Pale blue works Austin Seven 617 AOG (November 59 plate), retired - the Monte debut of minis, launched 4 months earlier. There were 6 works Minis entered 617 to 619 AOG (all Austin) and TMO 559 to 561 (all Morris - 1 red, 1 white, 1 blue). Highest finish was 618 AOG (Riley/Jones, 23rd). Strange coincidence - I was sent a link yesterday to some colour Pathe footage of 1960 Monte on youtube (wrongly listed there as 1964) with 617 and 619 AOG well seen. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufBqxw2HMlw (no commentary) . Also this Pathe-for-BMC promo film of the 1960 rally "Road To Monte Carlo"
