Reported as a XK sedan on www.madmaxmovies.com but I think it could be a wagon (3rd square window on the side), and the colors match this one.

Not really sure on the trim on Aussie Falcons,but if it were a US version,I'd say it's a '61?

Ford Falcon XK or XL. It's a wagon alright.

Too early for XM. The taillights are centre rather than elevated.

in the 2002 DVD commentary the Falcon was owned by a member of the production crew - it was used in 2 scenes (the diner and when Goose leaves his pad)
