ex British Army FV4101 Charioteer,a 1950s British conversion of a WW2 Cromwell chassis with new turret mounting a 20 pound gun from the Centurion tank..the one in the picture is one of 38 examples supplied by the UK to Finland in 1960,the Finns used them until 1979. |

Produced in 1945 as the 'Leyland A27M Cruiser Tank Mk.VIII Cromwell Mk.VII', it was converted by Robinson and Kershaw in the early 1950s and renemed 'Leyland FV4101 Charioteer'. The tanks bought by Finland were 'Charioteer Mk.VII Model B'. |
