1954 (I think) Chevrolet pickup. the first year with the corner windows (maybe) which according to this article - http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1947-1955-chevrolet-trucks7.htm - were part of the optional Comfortmaster Cab. |

1947-55 Chevrolet Advance-Design / GMC New Design indeed. The optional Nu-Vue corner windows were present from the beginning (see the 1947 and 1948 brochures), but the flat bed rails indicate without a doubt a 1954-55 model. What appears to be a short bed / small wheelbase (the 1954-55 intermediate bed would have a very small reinforcement bar just above the rear wheel arch) is the clue of a ½-ton Chevrolet 3100 (3104 model code) or of a short ½-ton GMC 100 (101-24 model code). @ Taco: No view of the grille / of the hood side (if with a logo) or even of the front end of the front fender? If not, then the Chevrolet model is usually used as default identification in the IMCDb. ⇒ 1954 Chevrolet Advance-Design 3100 [3104]? |
