Nice British Empire Exhibition side poster. I think the bonnet plaque in main says NS 100 or NS 1010 which means (1) it's AEC NS-Type(??) and (2) it's the same NS 1010 in this sequence at 08-42

I think that your deduction is correct about the bus type.

Agree its probably NS 1010
NS 1010 Registered XP 8266 built for LGOC: AEC chassis fitted with open-top body, into service (Barking)

(for info NS 100 Registered XN 7055 1923 built for LGOC: AEC chassis fitted with open-top body, into service (Mortlake))

Ian's Bus Stop countrybus.org

Registered 'XP 8266' is it possible to provide a date?

My browser, Google, will not open Ian's bus stop beyond the contents page, still.

Any ideas?

Google Chrome and Firefox open http://www.countrybus.org/ and all content pages OK for me!

There are no adverts - so it cannot be adblocked - and I cannot see any other reason, but I'm no expert.

XP was Aug 23 to Jan 24, so 8266 likely to be end 23.

Thanks Sunbar, still no go. Looks like I'm going to have to download Chrome, despite all my efforts to avoid it. Windows 10 next stop on the slippery slope!

I have now downloaded Firefox and it still won't open the Bus Stop contents.

I can't even get into countrybus.org using system32 nslookup feature, it still says server down. Must be a problem with my isp.

I'm sorry I cannot be of more help, johnfromStaffs - you appear to have tried more ways than I'm capable of trying!
