I found it bizarre, not to have an Austin-Healey in Tokyo, but to have it LHD. (It's a 3000, not a 100/6, right?) |

Splitting 100/6 and 3000 Mk1 almost impossible without dating evidence - the only clue is the grille badge which has similar style and size in both cases with lightning flash behind the numbers (though may have been red numbering on 3000, but not sure if this is totaly reliable clue). I think this one says 100-S~~ (for 100-Six) - the 100S itself was something different. As a 2-seater = April 58+ BN6. LHD stuff in J has been a favourite topic on a few pages - basically everything J made in aftermath of WW2 was RHD basic poverty stuff - anything exciting was LHD US imports, so LHD became a symbol of prestige which stayed in favour for a long time afterwards despite its incongruity. |

100/6 confirmed as single line boot badge. |
