But the very most of them aren't not really usable any more, since over 50 years without the availability of original spare parts. Somewhere in the forum you find a lot of pics, atom has made at his Cuba-trip two yeaqrs ago.

In Cuba there's also a wreck of a yellow Mercedes Gullwing rotting under a banana tree - a young Spaniard wants to import and restore it, but the government naturally hinders him from it...

Sooner or later it could be possible, as the times on Cuba are changing drmatically nowadays.

But at the same time, Cuba will be drastically different, with all these old cars coming off the road.

Ideal for anyone who wants a rotted out 57 Chevrolet with a Lada engine and gearbox and the rear axle from a 1936 Buick, with the hydraulics, if any, filled with washing up liquid.

As described above; most cars looks like this:

1951 Buick Special DeLuxe with some Volga engine.

But there are some that would be worth a lot if restored, like this 1954 Buick Skylark:

I've seen such cars in restored condition auctioned for $80,000-200,000.

In Cuba? And correctly restored? What are the prices for unrestored cars? Maybe the Cubans still have some nuts ideas about the value in real money of their old clunkers. As 25 years ago the DDR-citizens had. Used care were bizarrely overpriced and when the D-Mark came at the 1.7.1990, they thought, they could switch the prices from DDR-Mark to D-Mark. But this was an epic failure.

Correctly restored and auctioned in the US obviously. This is a super rare vehicle, only 836 built in 1954.

By the way, news on the banana gullwing: it was bought by an Italian who had the pieces sent to his home by a friend in Cuba, week for week a box of pieces. There was an extensive story in AUTO BILD KLASSIK about two years ago.

Anyway, could the Model A be a Colección Habana replica?

No, this one looks (despite all the tuning) like a real one.
