Audi or Wanderer?

 The soldiers are US-GIs, but the Cabriolet in the background looks German, too.

Free French flag. The soldiers are maybe French. And the car… Lancia? (Possibly made in France, or suggested?)

Italian 4-number plate from BZ-Bolzano (Bozen)? In this case, if the film makers had paid attention to this kind of details, it would have been compliant with a 1939-41 Lancia Ardea, for example.

Ist 'Lancia Astura' richtig? Können wir das schreiben? (Bon, je m'essaie au boche sans traducteur, hein, alors bon… J'aurais bien mis "Nahme" quelque part mais je ne sais plus si c'est "der" ou "das".)

This is an authentic stock footage, not a scene made for this movie.

 Entschuldigung, je ne comprend pas votre German text* Do you refer about the articles (besides the male "der", the neutral "das", there is also the female "die")? Then I'm not sure about the correct answer [:shy] because I'm not sure, if the Ardea is one of the not many female car-model-names in German. Aurelia is female. Also Isabella, DS, Floride, Isetta, Ariane, Corvette for example.

btw. in "Name" ("name" there is no "h" ;)

*I'm used to speak like that with my K 70-fellows ;) When there are people from different countries together, we often mix the languages, even change them in a sentence. Very recommended, as everyone can understand everything - and everyone has fun, too :D
Once we talked simultaneously in four languages, English, German, French and Dutch. It worked perfect.

Astura would be much bigger. I think it is rather a Artena with some special body...

Edit: or what about a 1939 Aprilia with Pininfarina body ?
