Doesn't seem to be the colmplete VIN but I would guess it could be deciphered as follows:

244 = 200-series 4 cylinders 4 doors
4 = B21 engine (petrol 2,1 litre overhead cam)
A = 1980 MY
1 = Torslanda plant
524609

It has been rebuilt with 1983-1984 hood and grille, 1986-1993 mirrors and the aftermarket Bross bodykit.
