Long focale, truck far away, p&s, but it has a role. A White 3000?

A White 3000 has a round cab and a set-backward front axle, while this truck seems to have a boxy cab located over the front axle, so it's unlikely one.
Among the White COE trucks available in 1978:
• A 7000 (from the 1960s) doesn't have such fender flares;
• A Compact (from the 1960s) has a split windshield;
• A Road Xpeditor don't match by the windshield and the axle location;
• A Road Commander either, due to the windshield.
Did I forgot one?

Among other makes:
• A GMC "Crackerbox", won't fit, due to the bigger windshield;
• A Ford H-Series seems too wide and too high.

Sorry, I really don't see what this truck is. I hope at least that this comment helps a little in narrowing the scope of possibilities :)

I really thought it was a White, but I see your point.

After some more searching, maybe a 1950s REO?

Your REOs are tempting, Tim.

Some research later... Keep in mind that what follows is a first draft, based only on study of brochures and salesman's data books I found, so there might be some mistakes in it.

This 63"/1.60 m BBC (Bumper to Back of Cab) truck was unveiled in 1956, and promoted at first as Super-V 63 (see CougarTim's first link, with a 1957 date), although internal references were AC-xxx (which I understand as AC-Series). I think that Super-V was due to the Gold Comet V8 engines and 63 stands most likely for the cab length...
Anyway, salesman's data books refer to it as AC-xxx, at least in 1956-1957 and in 1958. I didn't find other literature about this model for more recent model years, but there is a 1960 brochure about the new DC COE truck which seems to have the same size but some different specs, which makes me think that the AC-Series had a 1956-59 only lifetime.

An AC-Series identification would make the truck of this page the 2nd one in the IMCDb.

For the record, one may note that CougarTim's 2nd link shows an ad with the notation "Reo Division, The White Motor Company": Reo was indeed bought in 1957 by White, which would merge Reo and Diamond-T in 1967.
