Aren't headlights and front indicators US-spec, too?

Yes, the "value-decreasing" headlights as OLDTIMER MARKT once said.

At http://www.rrsilverspirit.com/models/1980Spur.htm it says "Cars with a carburetter have two spread out exhaust pipes. Cars with an injection system (American market) have a single exhaust." This has two single exhausts yet still has the American market headlamps.

We have other US cars with twin pipes so that link must be mistaken:

Anyway, definitely Hungarian squared rear plate is smaller than US equivalent. But I noticed only now that looks like that the thermometer on the instrument panel shows the temperature in Fahrenheit degrees... (86° F must be around 30° C, it's a probable temperature in Budapest?)

Not just that, they are illegal over here. So they are absolutely worthless for us. As the other US-spec stuff, too, you have to remove from US-reimport-cars to get an European registration. Or the ugly junk, which destroys the design of a classic car, as the side-markers and the terrible US-bumpers [:puke]
Often the European owners remove that stuff and throw it into the garbage. Also the US-spec economy/environmental technical bits -curbing-items generally were usually thrown out here.

Nevertheless, I see tons of US R107s on the "Marketplace" section of AUTO BILD KLASSIK.
