Why offer this picture, which cannot of itself permit accurate identification, if one is available which can?

It seems that we are now running a competition to see who can identify the most minimalist image, then the originator will show something identifiable and preen himself inwardly.

I for one have better things to do with my time than running through second rate films trying to find better images of half identifiable cars, and am becoming fed up with this trend.

Sandwad sometimes choses poorly the picture, but in this case was there a better picture of the car?
(the other one linked by Fortengo isn't really a good choice for main picture, even if it allows to identify the car, it is good only as additional picture)

Then why wasn't it shown at the same time. This bodywork was available both as a Royce and as a Bentley, and, IIRC, on the series 2 (only two headlamps) and 3 chassis, and could have been identified correctly quite quickly but not from the main picture.

Maybe sandwad did not realise that there was an additional sighting, especially if he did not recognise main make/model (it was initially posted as unknown)???

Plus, anything posted by a non-admin has its pages locked until the film is validated, which means comments/additional photos etc can not be posted until validation is granted. So even if sandwad had made the connection to the second sighting, he could not link them.

He usually do not add links between pages afterwards anyway
