I know diddley-squat about Spanish buses, but the Leyland Tiger/MCW Apollo suggestion looks very believable. And also might mean someone who knows what they're doing might also check through our other Pegaso 5022, in case there are more Tigers lurking in the batch?? |

Similarly I can only comment on the differences between the Leyland and Pegaso badges and bodies seen on the IMCDb entries. However it looks more complex than a straightforward identification based on appearances. Leyland Tiger (including Worldmaster chassis?) badges in main and second thumbnail, plus I think also here in another Pegaso listing /vehicle_1495342-Pegaso-5022.html https://pics.imcdb.org/28544/chica227.jpg MCW Apollo body looks to have recessed windscreen without the smaller corner glasses, but not in the second thumbnail's Leyland bus, so different bodies on Leyland chassis? The smaller round winged-horse Pegaso badge in seen on most other listings. More detail needed from someone familiar with the Spanish applications... -- Last edit: 2022-04-01 12:23:37 |

These Leyland buses were part of a 50-vehicle order for Chile. But when the first 20 were received, the rest of the order was cancelled. In any case, another 23 were already ready, so they were offered to other buyers. The Madrid transport EMT acquired a total of 15 of these buses and the rest went to other countries, such as Uruguay.![]() An uruguayan one... ![]() From Chile... ![]() |
