The straightness of the front boom and the shape of the rear housing have me convinced it's a John Deere. The animators may have used one of these 1/16 scale John Deere 772B toys by Ertl as a model: http://media.liveauctiongroup.net/i/7794/9374150_1.jpg?v=8CCA53D560A48E0 http://p2.la-img.com/1708/58327/28640503_1_l.jpg Not sure precisely when they were manufactured, but I get the impression it was around 1988. |

"Become"? This is not a recent phenomenon. I have a full collection of metal Tonka trucks in my parents' attic that I refuse to let my mother get rid of. |
