The 121L came out in 1978. The L stood for Landau but Ford already had a luxury coupe called the Landau which finished in 1976 so Mazda just called them the 121L. We also got the RX5 fastback version with the rotary engine from /vehicle_140620-Mazda-121-L-CD-1978.html
