The 1987 ones didn't had the divided headlights, and there's more, but you better ask it to the pro's. ;)

The 1986 version has quad sealed beam rectanglar headlights while 1987 or later has composite headlight (quad becomes dual headlights assembly with two separate reflectors.)

And the 1986 had all amber sidemarkers. Anyway, I don't see the reason to answer taxiguy's post. He hasn't signed in for more than a year. Plus, I think he knows the differences by now. Four years is plenty of time to learn the differences between these two years.
