Very good shots of this 1980 model (black plastic mirrors) BMW E21 320 6-cylinder! (Only one '320' write...) Seems in not good conditions...was it involved in a chase or damaged/destroyed? I hope not...  |

320 6-cylinder? I believe your confusing this with the 323i. All E21 320's were 4. And there would only be one badge on the left-side of the grille. -- Last edit: 2006-11-08 20:03:12 |

No, no. .gif ":)") In Europe we had the six-cylinder carburetors 320 (1978-1983) besides the 323i.Here indeed the 320i/4-cylinder was dropped in 1978, substituted by the 6-cyl. 320 and 323i. Yes, would be only one badge... -- Last edit: 2006-11-08 20:04:52 |

Leave it to the 3-series to be complicated when it comes to models. Both the E21 and E30 are quite complex. Few beleive me when I say an E30 325 existed (US). They always think I mean a 325i or 325e. Another lesser known E30 is the 325es (US). |

Since it has dual mirrors it's more likely it's an `81-`83. |

There are 5 of these named as 320/6. Nothing wrong with calling them that (if true...), an unofficial name but commonly used. But there are lots more than 5 on imcdb so it's.. weird  |
