Not a real Police Interceptor or the trim piece on the driver's door wouldn't be there. |

Actually it is a real Police Interceptor - this one has the same trim on the doors: Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" There are much more like the one on the photo. But maybe it's not a real Indiana State Police unit. |

It's a 2006-2008 Police Interceptor [P71]. I don't know where you got the idea that PI's don't have side door moulding on the front doors but they were an option. You could either chose to have them removed from the front doors or not have them on any doors period. This mostly depended on the decal/graphics scheme that each department applied to their marked vehicles. |

I thought that none of them had side trim because none of the ones I have seen around in real-life have had it. PA state police nor any local departments that use Crown Vics in my area have the trim on the front door. I guess I just assumed. But you know what they say about assuming... |

The PA State Police cars have side door moulding on all four doors. I think you're confused because this one has black side door moulding, which a few agencies have had in the past as opposed to body-colored mouldings. |
