No headrests, but over-riders with rubber. Is that enough to prove 250SL? |

I read somewhere that the headrests arrived in 1969, but other sources say 1968. Nevertheless, this seems to be indeed a late 250 SL (introduced in August 1967 as a 1968MY) since several other features of the 280 SL are present. Usually, the 280 seems to have the overriders placed more close to the numberplate. |

@rpcm: for many years, up into the late 70ies, at many German car-brands (all of them, I think) headrests were always an option for extra costs, except for the export countries, where they became mandatory (as Sweden for example). |
