- wild educated guess -
Because of overall look & design and some details like front door windows and pillar behind last window: Volvo B10M.
Please confirm (or not). ;)

Remark: The "american style" door opening mechanism (opening outside like a car door, not sliding aside or folding inside the bus) is an absolute rarity in modern European buses here on the continent. I think that even on the Isles it is not seen very often anymore.

Volvo B10M, body by Jonckheere is the closest match I can find.....

I will leave it for somebody more expert about bus design to comment about the outward opening door design but personally I think this maybe fairly common in the UK.

I think doors on North American coaches tend to have simple hinges, just like a door in a house. The type of door seen here, which used to be common on British coaches, has a mechanism which brings it partially inside the doorway as it opens. I dare say SteveA will be able to elaborate. :)

Shouldn't it be listed as a Volvo B10M?

I believe you're right - we list them by the chassis maker followed by the maker of the bodywork.

Well, VanHool busses were listed as VanHool. I guess that it depends on the makes and how they are sold/registered. Some coachbuilder are seen just as body maker, others are seen as makers though they use another make as basis...

Is it the case that Van Hool manufacture the chassis and the body? From the information I can see on their website http://www.vanhool.be/producten.asp they are manufacturers that only buy their engines and transmissions from other makers unlike most other bus makers that buy a complete running chassis and build the body on top.

Just another more general comment ... I see from their website they use 'Van Hool' as the name rather than 'VanHool' as listed on IMCDb.

I do not know if they used Volvo B10M like this Jonckheere, but they used Volvo B10R: /vehicle_12141-VanHool-Volvo-B10R.html
Even if they use a full chassis of another maker, if the bus is then sold/registered under another make, it can become a vehicle of another make...

About the name, both seem used :/ On their logo it is written without space.

Hi, this is a JONCKHEERE JUBILEE bodied SCANIA K112 belonging to SCANCOACHES of London. The door is not outward opening but is the usual pivot type seen in the UK but as the doors on these coaches were slightly wider than usual they appear to stick out more. If the date the episode was 1st shown was known then the idently of the coach could be narrowed down more.

Darn it!!! All Scancoaches Scania's were delivered between 1986 and 1989, so it could be any one of the 23 of them.
