Car wrecks on the street is something you don't really see anymore in New York nowadays. |

They did a nice job restoring the buildings and the street, hard to believe it once looked like a dumpy ghetto slum. |

You should have had some hundreds of thousands $ back then, for buying whole blocks. Then enough breath (mental and financial) to keep and renovating them - and to sell them now for millions. Millions for each. |

The Valiant was already covered. This is for the car across the street. |

looking at the bumper,im wondering if its a mide 60s,65-68?..pontiac?...i had a 66 pontiac tempest, with the same style of bumper...looking at the street side bumper end,and the shadow showing it being a two piece unit, but its just a guess,,, |

Well, it has a V-8. In the side view it looks like it used to have trim about halfway up the side. I kept thinking it was a sedan or a coupe with the roof collapsed, but now it occurs to me that it's a convertible and that's the hood (and maybe even the front fenders) inside the passenger compartment. Still haven't found a match, though. |

Can't be a convertible, there's a C-pillar visible in the alt pic. |

Very straight lines and a narrow C-pillar make me think mid-60s MoPar. |

Hang on, it's in the background in another scene |

The second and last thumbnail provided by chicomarx is definitely a 1964 Chevrolet Impala. -- Last edit: 2012-06-18 20:22:55 |
