Yes - it's the May 1995 Mille Miglia edition. Came as 320SL (40 made) and 500SL (unknown number but may have been more). Key clue is the little chequered flag behind the wing vents (and the 95 N plate helps, because there were later MM reisues). Wiki says "Mille Miglia Edition (1995, 1999, 2000, 2001): In 1995 Mercedes released the Mille Miglia edition, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Stirling Moss's win of the 1955 Mille Miglia road race. It was available as either SL320 or SL500, came in Brilliant Silver metallic, and had Evo II six-spoke polished alloys, red and black leather interior, carbon-fibre trim and extra equipment. Stirling Moss was given the first SL500 built." Also some info at Link to "www.benzworld.org" . |
