01-24-43 The history of Ssangyong started in 1954 when Hadongwahn Motor was founded. It was later renamed to Dong-A Motor. The company became a manufacturer of commercial trucks, fire engines and other special purpose vehicles during the 70s. In the early 80s, Dong-A acquired SUV maker Keowha, which made 4WD offroaders licensed from Jeep. The merged company was renamed to Ssangyong in 1986 and started concentrating on SUVs. http://autozine.kyul.net/Manufacturer/Korea.htm |

Because till yesterday it was listed as Dong-A Motor and I changed it to 'Dong-A unknown' with hope, that someone find the model together with new Dong-As. -- Last edit: 2010-12-30 19:19:49 |
