Looks big enough to be a Phantom III, if not it must be a 25/30 as the only other 1938 model. Obviously the driver is not used to driving a Royce, the gear lever looks to be going to enter his right trouser leg in time honoured fashion. |

1938 Rolls Royce 25/30 h.p.'Wraith' Saloon by H.J.Mulliner, chassisnr WXA87, body 4629, design 6140/6310, supplied to P.G.Philcox. Note the Perspex roof above the front, which was a H.J.Mulliner speciality, even though this is not a so-called 'High Vision' saloon, which allowed for even more clear Perspex covering the area between the windscreen and the Perspex roof. Also, note that in some variants the Perspex panel could slide away to open, whereas on others it could not. |
