The name "ELDORADO" in block letters on the front of the hood show that it's a 1978 "Biarritz" model. In the absence of side-views, I can't tell if its just the classic Biarritz or the "Eldorado Custom Biarritz".

Weird, since that episode probably takes place in 1976 (first two seasons were in 1976, third season 1977).

But how late in 1977?

For a year , i dont really consider as anachronism ( for example, 1995 Neon was launched in the first months of 1994 )
But i don't know if they were also doing this kind of marketing in the 1970's

Indeed they were -- and for many year prior. New models have been coming out in the fall of the preceding year for as far back as I can recall and I've been around since the 1950's.

THIS IS NOT A 1978 CADILLAC ELDORADO BIARRITZ. And here’s why: First, the Biarritz was not the exclusive receiver of those ELDORADO letters on the nose, all Eldorados in ’77 and ’78 got them, Biarritz or not. Second, you can clearly see the front of the white convertible top above the windshield. Not only did the Biarritz have a painted, uncovered front half of the roof, but that’s plain as day a GM scissor-top convertible roof above that windshield. The last Cadillac Eldorado convertible of that era was 1976, which would sync up with the time of the episode better (not that it proves anything). And lastly, This is very clearly a 1976 Eldorado CONVERTIBLE with a 1978 Eldorado front nose. Its a popular modification, many people do it with the 1975 Caprice Convertible too by putting a 1976 Caprice nose on it. This page should really be fixed, its wrong. And mrcadillac on here should maybe change his name if he couldn’t spot this.

For his defence, the picture has been replaced recently: the old one was much poorer quality, the white roof was probably not visible

MrCadillac hasn't been here in a long, long time...Who's the oldest still active non-admin? Kowalski?
