I am sure this car is a 170 S (W 136). 220 cars had no external hinges for the trunk and only in 170 S the rear window was small as in the photo (best photo to identify this car is the one with Chrysler Windsor). You may find strange the plate located in the trunk cover and not in the the rear bumper, but in Brazil it was quite often to relocate the plate and use the lights of Ponton cars which were in the trunk. |

The year shall be changed to 1951. In 1952, the 170 S trunk hinges were changed as well the rear window. If this car would be a 52 170 S we would never be able to identify it from a 220 as we cannot see the rear lights in detail. |
