Doesn't look like it.

I don't think so, too big, it can be a licenseplate, but not one from the Netherlands.

This number 18 was indeed part of a normal Dutch license plate. The Mustang has an USA-sized Dutch plate, made specially for USA-cars, on which a normal plate does n't fit. By coincidence I live at number 18, and I have put exactly the same home-made yellow/black number 18 on my house, which I got from an old license plate.

Sorry but this is not an EU-spec Mustang, all EU Spec mustangs have amber in the taillamps

Does that smaller number plate make it made for NL or EU then?

@garco, I don't understand what you are asking, the smaller plate opening is the standard one on this car to fit US-sized plates. The only thing on this car that I can see that differs from the regular US Mustang is the fact that this car has DRLs.

@garco: it's the opposite way. Not the plate-frame is "made for EU" - the plate is "made for US-cars" :p

Btw.: was this model officially exported to NL or other European countries? In Germany the Mustang wasn't and isn't in the official Ford-range (since the early 70ies not any more IIRC), but you can get them on special order of a capable and willing Ford-dealer.
I cannot remember, that I've ever noticed a 2004-Mustang like that above. Only the retro-styled 2005+ models are to see here time by time. As I wrote before, this depends on the personal preferences of specific Ford-dealers. As that one in our village for example.

I am not sure where the Mustang was officially exported to but I do know that they offer an Export only-taillamp with amber turn signals that differs from the US models. I tried to purchase a set of these when I had my 1996 Mustang GT but the dealership said that in order to get them, an Export Mustang VIN was needed (but I did get around that little rule ;) )

EDIT: okay so ingo I just talked to some of my Mustang buddies and it appears that all of these Export taillamps are for the Japanese Market and that the Mustang was not officially sold in Europe (at least for the 1994-2004 generations)
