Taxi G7 used the Ariane, not the Vedette Trianon. The Ariane had same trim level as the Trianon. |

I don't agree completely. As far as I know Ariane was released only in April 57. So that, if a taxi driver used a large Simca before that, it had to be with the Aquillon V-8 engine. Meanwhile, I have no way to grant that there was one Simca Vedette taxi before 1957, but it may be possible. |

Agreed, no doubt that few taxis could have use the V8 engine Simca, as they used the Ford Vedette before. But for a big company like the G7 the cost of operating the V8 while the production of cheaper cost 4 cylinder engine had started is unlikely. In fact G7 ordered Simca Ariane since 1957 in replacement of older Panhard Dyna [Z] fleet. |
