At the front it doesn't have the little air inlets that the Silver Shadow I had, and when the Silver Shadow II was brought out the LWB version was called the Silver Wraith II, so that's what it must be. 130rapid might comment that fuel cap is not in the right place, but is this an absolute identifying characteristic? Wouldn't they have had to replace the whole front of the body for it to have no airlets? Or did Rolls-Royce get rid of the airlets while it was still the SS1? -- Last edit: 2011-10-08 14:01:16 |

1] This is built for US as this was the only high volume market with rubber bumpers on SS1 (may have also been fitted for a few other markets with similar requirements but US was the major target). 2] The non-US SS2 in your link is an electric one. (Actually I have no idea why it doesn't have SS2 filler in the correct place - it has all other features of a 1st year SS2 ie without headlamp washers, but correct badging, rect door mirror, spoiler - did RR update SS1s as a customer special order or was there a brief crossover period in production of "SS1.5s"?). |

Let's slow down men. G-MANN, look & read the Silver Shadow page careful and them argue. You'll learn all SS I lost air vents under headlights in mid 1973.
