Certainly one of the most notorious scenes involving an Imperial is featured in this movie. Doris day, attempting to elude her husband (James Garner), drives the Imperial into a car wash. She accidentally hits the top switch (mounted incorrectly on the pod housing the heater controls) which results in lowering the top, with obvious results. |

Why? The car is not destroyed, it's cleanable and dryable. The scene is maybe the earliest, G-Rated (surely G-Rated, it's a Doris Day-movie) "Wet T-Shirt Car Wash". |
