Sandie I think they used that name instead of C/K-Series as in the US. Truck_Guy found one earlier that the brochure said Chevrolet Sierra. Two new name changes needed for these specific markets? Edit: I think maybe C/K wouldn't be a good name (all speculation or maybe another auto manufactering company held the rights to the name ?) to export their truck. I think it might have been as simple as the Suburban name was more well known in Britain. The nearest these trucks came to being officially sold here were these ambulances (even then it was by Wheeled Coach's UK arm - GM only imported the Blazer, Corvette, Camaro and various Cadillacs here) and in terms of grey imports the Suburbans were far more numerous than the pickups. Another factor might be that the parts to make them RHD came from Australian Holden Suburbans. Agree that renaming the collection of UK ambulances might be useful, something like Chevrolet Suburban Ambulance with the C/K designation and body builder in extra info? I think it will only apply to the ambulances as C/K-Series trucks were always grey imported and usually US/CDN models. Also, would the reference in the brochure to them being 4WD make them K-3500 rather than C-3500? -- Last edit: 2019-06-01 16:53:05 |

Yes Sandie I agree. We can list that way for these. I will clean them up. I just did not know if changing the name would cause any issues. Seems by the brochures and documentation that is indeed what these were called.
