Is this for Australia market? I see fender mounted side marker between the door and the wheel well not found in USA market.

It's not a side marker, it's a side indicator (turn signal) repeater.

I thought side marker meant indicator, what does side marker mean then?

Or hadn't these US-spec sidemarkers also small bulbs inside for permantent use? Or do I confuse it with the turn signals/indicators?

The round foglamps, and a little silvermarking under the indicator (turn signal) repeater makes me believe its a Cobra
The two round lights slightly above eachother under the main lights makes me think its a 2002 Austarlian Cobra.

For vehicles that are made/imported in 1968 required to have lighted or retroreflector between the front and rear fender and the wheel well to reduce side accident in the dark. All cars market in USA in 1969 or later required to have both lighted and retroreflector. The light usually tied with turn signal and usually inverted turn signal when the parking light are on. Most modern cars are rarely combine this with turn signal relay.

However I am not quite familiar with the one mounted on front fender between the door and the wheel well and usually not required in US market. This certain side marker usually conform with European market and elsewhere.

While this is a 2002 Cobra and therefore only sold in Australia, Australian is not part of the name.
