In Jim Lehrer's book "White Widow" which is set in 1956, The main character Jack .T. "On Time Oliver" drives an ACF-Brill IC-41 for Great Western Trailways in Dallas, Texas, These IC-41s had manual steering, A 4 or 5 speed manual transmission, Air brakes, Air conditioning, some had restrooms while others did not, And were powered by center mounted, underfloor Hall-Scott gasoline engines, Although in the last 2 years of production 1952 & '53, Cummins diesel engines became optional. |

Also unique to the ACF-Brills was that the entrance door was behind the right front wheel & there was an extra, single person seat over the right front wheel called an "Angel Seat" where a passenger could sit (such as excited little kids who wanted to have the same view as the driver). |
