nzcarnerd ◊ 2011-05-27 23:41	Is there another frame with a better view of the grille? My first thoughts on this one were 1939 Plymouth or 1940 Studebaker but neither of those was available as a roadster.

nzcarnerd ◊ 2011-05-28 03:04	Thanks for that. I am still not sure what it is. There is a hint of 1940 Desoto but the side grilles on the car here look to have vertical lines. There were not very many cars that had the headlights in that position. It has a 1939 look about it but there were no convertibles in the Dodge/DeSoto range in 1939.

nzcarnerd ◊ 2011-05-28 22:27	The books I have suggest that there was not a convertible coupe in the 1939 Plymouth lineup and it is hard to find a picture of one. There a couple of them here though - http://www.joesherlock.com/39Ply_RR.html - so that must be what the car here is.

Unfortunatley the allpar site does not have a page of 1939 info.
