This one looks really strange and it is certainly not an original Volkswagen Typ 82.

I guess from the few details visible a Citroën 2CV was used as a donor vehicle.

Let's call it 'Made for Movie Kübelwagen'.

Or "Citroën 2CV Kübelwagen"? As we already have one listed under that name :D ("made for movie" was for unknown bases)

I would say my guess is too vague to actually give it that name. It is just the lamps mounting, the wheel rims and the proportions that let to my guess. Plus the fact that this base was probably the easiest way to replace a Kübelwagen. I thinks it is enough to mention it in the comments.

The one from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was more realistic than this peace of S**t!

Have always fancied building a kubel on a 2cv chassis, as they share the same (2400mm) wheelbase, but this photo has all but changed my mind! The height and forward position of the engine has dictated a shallower front slope and a vertical base panel, and they've put on horizontal ribs instead of vertical!! And as for those skinny tyres, especially on the too narrow rear "axle" where they are lamentably undersize - surely they could have found some GS wheels and added spacers? PS: Anyone see the last few scenes of "Laconia" recently where the kubel drives away with a WINDSCREEN-MOUNTED rear-view mirror??? Tee hee!
