Its so easy to tell Explorer trims: XLS: Base model with plastic chome-less grill and less trim. XLT: Chrome grill and very common, more chrome trim. XLS Sport: Base 2-door model with no chrome XLT Sport: Chrome grill, 2-doors and more chrome trim and fittings. Eddie Bauer: Running bars, more options such as spoiler and moon-roof, side and bumper upgrades and even more trim and fittings such as chrome side trim [later] Limited: High-end model, basically same as Eddie Bauer on the exterior except for paint options and grill coloring and it has more fancy interior gadgets that would be optional on Eddie Bauer but are standard on Limited. |

Saleen Explorer? Is there even such a thing? Funny that both of you posted the same comment at the same time |

There was a Saleen Explorer, but only for the later second generation. For sure there wasn’t a Saleen for the first gen Explorers ... I too, find it funny they posted at about the same time and in the same lower case text! |

Ah but of course! I remember these! http://www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/saleenxp8---01_450.jpg I knew for sure that they weren't around for the first generation, but I had completely forgotten about them. |
