J'hésite entre Disneyland, Hollywood, Cine Citta, mais ..... pas dans le desert Ou bien on a completement le désert, Link to "www.lts-orient.ch" ou un oasis http://www.travelinstyle.com/egypt/nile__oasiscamp.htm -- Last edit: 2006-06-18 22:44:24 |

Then I would say it is not a Land-Rover Santana, as suggested, but an 'ordinary' Land-Rover. From the size of the wheels I would say it is a 109", but they are interchangable. From the year of filming Series III is most likely. So, most likely, Land-Rover 109" Series III. Apart from 'Land-Rover' the other bits are 'educated guesses'. |

I'm going out on a limb here and saying it is more likely to be a Series 2A. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, NADA imports stopped in 1973 when Land Rover could not meet the emmissions and safety regulations, meaning only a couple of years of Series 3 production made it across the atlantic. Second is the wheels. whilst the tyres do look large enough to be from a 109", the wheels are not the type fitted to later Series 2A and Series 3 models. 109" wheels are wider than those fitted to 88", and on the late 2A & 3 the extra width is added to the outside of the rim meaning the centre looks pushed back. Series 2 and early 2A models however had the extra width on the back meaning the centre sits flush with the face of the rim. From those wheels I would say this is possibly an early 2A rather than something later, however the wheel test is far from conclusive. |

The 4400 is filmed in Canada, where you can import more or less any car if it's fifteen years old or more. |
